Nancy's icing video

On Friday Nancy showed us how to ice cupcakes. We also enjoyed some yummy cupcakes that she made. Enjoy the video.

Icing Demonstration

Yesterday we had Janet who demonstrated different kinds of icing to the children. Enjoy the video presentation and talk to your children about ideas they got from her, to use in their own cupcake flavour.

Baking

For Technology we are learning to make the best cupcake flavour. Today we tried a plain cupcake recipe. The children have to now come up with their own flavour and we are going to vote for the best flavour.

Jobs Parents Do

The following parents were kind to spend their time and share their job expertise with the class when we were learning about jobs people do. A big thank you to these wonderful people.

Michael who is the Operations Manager at Supercheap Auto spoke about his job.

Jennifer from Fisher and Pykel Health Care spoke to the children about what she does. Here she is demonstrating how to use a breathing chamber.

Connie a stay at home told the children about her jobs at home. Now the children realise that parents that stay home also have lots of jobs to do.

Krystal, the bank manager at the ANZ Bank spoke to the children about what she does at the bank. She also advised children to start saving so they can bank their money and each child was given a piggybank to get started with saving. 

Peg People

We had fun designing and creating our own uniforms for jobs people do.

Statistics

For Maths we have been learning about Statistics. We learnt how to group things and display it on a graph. We have also learnt to discuss the results of the graph. Here are some of our graphs. Your children can talk to you about them.
