Pikelets

Yesterday we made pikelets and wrote instructions on it. We know that an instruction starts with a bossy verb and we write each instruction on a new line. We enjoyed eating our pikelets with jam.

Popcorn

We are learning to write instructions. Today we made popcorn and we are going to write the instructions. Ask your child how to make popcorn and they can give you the instructions.

Interactive Drummer Show

Yesterday we had the Interactive Drummer Show. Those children that went to the show learnt how to play African drums. These are some pictures of the children having fun.

Keeping ourselves safe

On Wednesday Constable Glynis spoke to us about the different types of touches. We are learning how to keep ourselves safe and we know what are good and bad touches. Ask your children to talk to you about this.

Graham Braddock

On Tuesday Graham Braddock, an artist showed us how to draw pictures. We learnt about having a plan and drawing in proportion. When we finsished drawing he showed us how to dye our pictures. You can see our lovely drawings displayed in class.

Weight and Mass

THis week we have been exploring activities that develop mass(weight). We have been using words like heavy, heavier, light, lighter. You can help by getting your child to find things that are light. Once they have a collection of light objects, you could ask them to find objects that are heavy.
